Iron Ethos at Blade Show 2026 — The Fizz and the Cyber, Announced - Iron Ethos

Blade Show 2026 New Knives: Iron Ethos Introduces the Fizz and the Cyber

Two knives. Two distinct carry roles. One first appearance at Blade Show Atlanta.

Iron Ethos is making its Blade Show debut at Booth 2319, Cobb Galleria Centre, and we're not walking in with a mood board and a prototype wrapped in foam. We're bringing production-ready inventory — two fixed blades that represent two years of development, three rounds of prototype iteration, and the manufacturing discipline that's been the foundation of this brand for over thirty years.

The knives are the Fizz and the Cyber. Here's what they are and how they got here.

The Fizz Fixed Blade — Compact EDC, Built to Disappear Until You Need It

Steel: Nitro-V · Blade Length: 2.99 in (7.6 cm) · Overall Length: 7.2 in (18.3 cm) · Blade Thickness: 0.13 in (3.3 mm) · Weight: 3.8 oz (109 g) · Handle: Black or Desert G10 · Finish: Black Titanium Plated or Satin · Price: $89.99

The Fizz is the answer to a very specific problem: most fixed blades that are actually useful are too large to carry without making a decision about it every morning. You adjust your belt, you think about where you're going, you leave it at home. The Fizz was designed to remove that calculation.

At 2.99 inches of blade and 3.8 oz total, it sits in a carry footprint that most EDC knives in its category can't reach. The overall length of 7.2 inches is enough for a full working grip; the weight is low enough that it stops registering after the first hour. That is not an accident — it is the result of iterating the handle profile and blade-to-handle ratio through three prototype generations before we landed on geometry that carries correctly and works without compromise.

What changed across those iterations: The first two prototypes ran a slightly longer handle, targeting a four-finger grip at the expense of overall length. In field testing, the additional handle length didn't improve control — it increased print and reduced concealability without a proportionate gain in utility. We pulled 0.2 inches from the handle, reconfigured the finger groove placement, and recovered the carry performance without losing the grip. That's the version on the table at Blade Show.

The Nitro-V blade runs a geometry tuned for precision tip work and controlled slicing — the tasks that an EDC fixed blade actually gets asked to do. The 3.3mm spine thickness gives the blade enough rigidity for hard-use tasks without adding weight the carry profile can't support. The blade bevel is ground to a geometry that doesn't push material; it separates it. At 3.8 oz, the Fizz delivers a responsive, lightweight feel that ensures effortless all-day carry without sacrificing structural integrity for hard-use tasks.

The G10 handle is textured for grip retention in wet and cold conditions. Both colorways — Black with a Titanium Plated blade, and Desert Yellow with a Satin finish — are functional decisions, not just aesthetics. The non-reflective Titanium Plated finish suppresses glare in field conditions. The Satin finish on the Desert version prioritizes ease of maintenance and visual edge inspection.

The Cyber Combat Fixed Blade — Full-Size, Modern Bowie, Built for Field Carry

Steel: 14C28N Sandvik · Blade Length: 4.59 in (11.67 cm) · Overall Length: 9.39 in (23.85 cm) · Blade Thickness: 0.157 in (4 mm) · Weight: 7.9 oz (224 g) · Handle: Black G10 · Finish: Gray Titanium Tone · Price: $89.99

Where the Fizz is built around minimizing the footprint, the Cyber is built around maximizing the platform. At 9.39 inches overall with a 4.59-inch blade, it is a full-size fixed blade — the kind of knife that takes up the space in your kit it was designed to occupy.

The blade geometry is a modern bowie interpretation. The bowie-inspired tip profile gives the front of the blade better control for tip work and detailed cutting tasks that a straight drop-point or clip-point would sacrifice in the push toward bulk blade length. At 4mm of spine thickness, the Cyber carries enough mass to perform in camp tasks, field processing, and any hard-use scenario that asks a fixed blade to bear actual load.

The steel is 14C28N — a Sandvik-produced stainless with fine carbide distribution, high hardness ceiling, and corrosion resistance characteristics that suit outdoor and coastal carry environments. It sharpens responsively on standard ceramic and water-stone abrasives. In field conditions where you're not carrying a bench setup, 14C28N maintains an edge that can be recovered with a pocket strop and a few passes. The Gray Titanium Tone finish is non-reflective and provides an additional barrier against surface oxidation.

The Black G10 handle provides a structured, high-traction grip across the full 4.35-inch handle length. At 7.9 oz, the Cyber has the in-hand mass that communicates structural confidence — it doesn't feel like a tool you're being careful with, it feels like a tool you're working with.

Two Knives, One Philosophy

The Fizz and the Cyber are not redundant products. They are two expressions of the same design discipline applied to different carry requirements.

The Fizz answers: what is the least knife you can carry without losing the capability you need? The Cyber answers: what is the most capable knife you can build at a platform size that still functions in a working carry context?

Both questions start from a functional brief. Both solutions went through a prototyping process that prioritized working performance over visual distinction. Both ship with a Kydex sheath, cleaning cloth, and care card — because the sheath is part of the system, and the system either works in the field or it doesn't.

Form. Balance. Purpose.

That's the checklist. Both knives passed it.
